In 4R we were doing simile poems here is what we did:

as red as a baseball cap
as pretty as a pencil case
as purple as lipstick
as see-through as a glass slipper
as golden as the sun
as dusty as a beach
as blunt as a pencil
as small as a lizard
as crazy as a bumble bee
as posh as a handbag
as colourful as a parrot
as hairy as a monkey
as spotty as a cheater
as poisonous as a frog
as magnificent as a loin
as sad as the sea
as slimy as a slug
as sly as a snake
as smelly as a sock
